Local Access Television
for Bolton, MA
Comcast Channel 10
|
 |
Access Bolton Television
is an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)3
corporation appointed by the Bolton Board of Selectmen
as the town's Access Provider for Comcast Channel 10
(and channel 8 soon). Funding for station operations is
provided entirely by cable subscribers through
Comcast. That is done by way of fees charged to Comcast
television subscribers in Bolton called "FRC" or
Franchise Related Costs, and not by any tax money
whatsoever. Our televised meetings are open to the
public and volunteers are welcome. Access Bolton is not
an official town board or committee, although we adhere
to many of the operating rules of a typical town board
or committee.
We are committed to
bringing open town government into everyone's home via
public access television and internet. Our ability to do
this is limited only by the time available to record and
cablecast public meetings and community events. If you
would like to volunteer to help us do recording, please
contact "BatCo" at Town Hall at (978) 779-2297 weekdays,
or send an Email inquiry to BatcoTV @ comcast.net.
